About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work under the direction of the Practice/Program Manager overseeing and assisting with day-to-day physician office operations
- Coordinate, implement, and evaluate current practices to promote high-quality, cost-effective care
- Enhance patient and staff satisfaction
- Participate in staffing plan development and hiring of administrative and clinical support staff
- Oversee employee appraisals, training needs, feedback, and employee concerns
- Mentor administrative and clinical support staff
- Implement and monitor personnel policies and procedures for regulatory compliance
- Manage staff and physician schedules and assist with scheduling template development
- Participate in onboarding new staff and physicians
- Provide physician support with special projects
- Oversee information systems needs and improve business processes
- Prepare for accreditation and audits; monitor licensure, credentialing, and re-certification
- Collaborate on policies, procedures, programs, protocols, and systems to improve practice effectiveness and patient care quality
- Evaluate facility capabilities with hospital facilities staff
- Serve as site liaison with Holland Hospital departments
- Maintain competence in E-clinical Works as a superuser
- Assist with budget preparation, productivity monitoring, cost improvement initiatives, and variance reporting
- Ensure vendor and supplier obligations are met and minimize financial loss
- Manage front office deposits and balancing
- Run monthly registries, timesheets, provider update, and facility visit reports
- Coordinate projects, establish communication and reporting mechanisms, manage customer expectations, facilitate project meetings, and obtain satisfaction feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED required
- 3-5 years medical office experience required
- Knowledge of medical office operations, billing practices, physician and clinical staff credentialing preferred
