About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to developers and architects delivering end-to-end data solutions
  • Drive advancement of technical and business capabilities through mentorship and knowledge sharing
  • Identify, analyze, and create efficiencies within existing solutions
  • Lead modernization of legacy flat-file integrations using Azure Data Factory, Azure Function Apps, and Azure SQL
  • Design and implement cloud-native data pipelines, including API-based ingestion and delivery orchestration
  • Participate in planning for the organization’s future technology needs
  • Drive transition from flat-file inbound/outbound processes to API-driven integration models
  • Ensure solutions align with cloud architecture standards and modernization goals
  • Apply industry standards and best practices to Holman solutions
  • Support onboarding and ongoing skill development through training, coaching, and guidance
  • Provide feedback for development and performance discussions
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines
  • Establish technical objectives, monitor deliverables, and report performance and delivery metrics
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Math or IT preferred
  • Hands-on application development experience
  • Advanced hands-on experience with .NET Core and Entity Framework Core
  • Ability to review developer code, enforce coding standards, and support performance tuning of data-access patterns
  • Understanding of Azure resources and architecture
  • In depth experience in SDLC, including development patterns, version control, and deployment pipelines
  • Advanced knowledge of data movement and transformation
  • Practical experience in data modeling
  • Experience using ETL tools
  • Experience in or knowledge of BI Reporting Tools
  • 10+ years of experience in application development
  • Experience supporting CI/CD processes, including Azure DevOps pipelines for .NET, API, Azure Function Apps, and ADF deployments
  • Business Process development
  • Design experience and a proven track record of designing and leading
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate high-level cloud strategy into actionable technical direction
  • Ability to adjust quickly to new or changing work environments
  • Ability to work within budgetary/financial objectives
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgment
