About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and deepen referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, senior living communities, home health and hospice organizations, physician practices, social-service agencies and other healthcare and senior-service professionals
- Leverage existing healthcare and community relationships while identifying new decision-makers, influencers and referral partners
- Identify high-potential referral sources and develop strategic account plans
- Uncover referral-partner needs and connect them with services, education, specialty programs and resources
- Convert relationships into referrals and long-term partnerships
- Present services and specialty programs including memory care, fall prevention and respite care
- Track referral activity, leads, conversions, starts of care and other KPIs
- Represent the company through professional associations, networking groups, healthcare events, community organizations and educational opportunities
- Support events, campaigns, social media, email and other strategic marketing initiatives
- Develop and execute territory and account strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of business development, sales, community relations or referral-development experience, preferably within home care, home health, hospice, senior living, skilled nursing, healthcare or senior services
- Established relationships within the local healthcare and senior-care community strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop professional referral relationships and turn them into measurable business growth
- Experience working with healthcare decision-makers, case managers, social workers, discharge planners, executive directors and other professional referral partners
- Strong consultative selling skills
- Confidence initiating conversations, asking for referrals and advancing relationships
- Experience managing a territory, referral-source pipeline, CRM and performance metrics
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Self-directed, organized and accountable; able to manage own schedule and priorities
- Competitive drive for results balanced with genuine empathy for seniors and families
- Valid Driver’s License, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
