About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run 15-minute virtual scoping consultations with homeowners
Review member photos, messages, handyperson notes, intake answers, and project context before calls
Capture project scope, member intent, timeline, motivations, and constraints
Define inclusions, exclusions, quantities, and measurements
Build and submit complete estimates within 24 hours, including scope, quantities, labor hours, crew and days, materials, and pricing
Incorporate same-day field-lead revisions
Decide whether projects should be quoted remotely, routed to an in-person visit, referred to a specialist, or declined
Coordinate visits with member success within 24 hours
Manage scoping stages in the CRM and maintain next steps, owners, and dates
Follow up with members through signed approval and booked projects
Explain estimates, tradeoffs, materials, timing, and scope to members
Hand accepted jobs to crews with complete job briefs
Use AI tools to structure notes, draft scopes, and create templates
Identify recurring project patterns and build scoping, pricing, and AI-assisted workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of hands-on residential construction, remodeling, handyman, or home-improvement experience (required)
Working knowledge of home maintenance and repair
Experience producing written scopes or estimates with labor hours and materials, ideally including photo- or video-based estimating
Customer-forward style and ability to put homeowners at ease on camera
Ability to build homeowner confidence, handle questions on process and price, and follow up until the project is booked
Outstanding written communication
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a dozen open projects with a 24-hour turnaround
Ability to make decisive routing decisions in ambiguous situations
High agency and ownership mindset
Comfort using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, CRM, and estimating software
