About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support activities centrally managed within the Network Operations Center and serve as the primary coordination point
- Diagnose issues and provide timely resolution to support patient safety and process efficiency
- Use automated systems to optimize capacity and staffing management
- Maintain staffing and scheduling needs
- Coordinate patient placement, incoming and outgoing transfers, and patient flow logistics
- Work with hospital personnel to facilitate bed and service assignment
- Monitor and evaluate staffing activities and prioritize admissions and transfers
- Process daily worksheets showing available nursing-unit staff and plan future staffing needs
- Schedule and assign staff to nursing units in collaboration with facility Administrative Representatives
- Coordinate patient transfers and direct admissions, collect required intake data, and document acceptance calls
- Facilitate patient movement across multiple facilities
- Collaborate with the Transfer Center, registration, nursing staff, and physicians on bed placement
- Assign beds according to diagnosis, physician requests, and hospital policies
- Operate electronic systems for patient flow logistics, capacity management, staffing, and scheduling
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Receive and record absent calls and notify appropriate units
- Document staff time changes in computer systems
- Adapt to organizational needs throughout the shift
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient satisfaction
Requirements
