About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides patient-related care tasks based on growth and development principles across the patient lifespan
  • Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver, including personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and selected portions of the patient care plan
  • Assists, observes, and reports changes in patient condition to the licensed caregiver
  • Maintains accurate medical record documentation
  • Addresses or directs questions and concerns from patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members
  • Floats to East Valley locations including Tempe Medical Center, Four Peaks Medical Center, and Florence Medical Center
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
  • 6 months in acute care experience Preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification Preferred
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) license preferred
