About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide patient-related care tasks based on patients’ growth and development needs
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Measure vital signs and monitor intake and output
- Assist with ambulation and selected patient-care-plan interventions
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to licensed caregivers
- Maintain accurate medical record documentation
- Address or direct questions and concerns from patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- 6 months of acute care experience preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT) license preferred
- Ability to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver
- Ability to accurately document care in medical records
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
