About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide professional nursing care in an operating-room setting across 3+ campuses as part of the Network Float Pool
  • Collect and analyze patient health data and develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized plans of care
  • Initiate treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures according to standing orders, policies, and procedures
  • Administer medications, therapies, treatments, IV fluids, blood, and blood products
  • Monitor patients, document observations and interventions, and evaluate care-plan outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, post-treatment and home-care needs, nutrition, exercise, medications, and therapy
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare clinicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Direct and delegate patient-care activities to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides
  • Precept new-hire staff and students and support competency development
  • Apply evidence-based practice, participate in research, and support quality, safety, effectiveness, and cost-efficient care

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 Years' experience as a RN in OR setting Required
  • Associates or Diploma in Nursing required
  • All Diploma and ADN hires must Complete a BSN within 60 months of hire OR have 5 or more years of Registered Nurse experience at the time of hire
  • All staff who have direct responsibility for the care of stroke patients must complete stroke-specific education requirements prior to start
  • 1 year RN experience for all Float Positions Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Arizona or a compact state required upon hire
  • National certification for unit-specific patient population preferred
  • BSN preferred
