About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and grow a team of Platform and DevOps engineers; set direction, coach, hire, and remain hands-on part of the week
  • Own the AWS platform end-to-end, including infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, CI/CD, environments, observability, incident response, and cloud cost
  • Lead the Agentic Software Development Lifecycle (ASDLC) practice to keep AI tools safe, aligned, and continuously improving
  • Enable automated verification with embedded tests across web and mobile releases
  • Deliver deployment environments and CI pipelines that keep pace with agent-generated change
  • Measure and improve delivery systems, including time in CI, code review, and QA
  • Build written alignment with product and engineering leaders on platform roadmap and investment trade-offs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience as a hands-on Platform or DevOps engineer who has stepped into leadership
  • Experience managing engineers while continuing to ship software
  • Experience leading teams through on-call, incident response, platform growth, and AI/agentic transformation
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, infrastructure as code (Terraform), Kubernetes, and Postgres
  • Production experience operating a large web and mobile application surface area
  • Experience applying coding agents and LLM tooling in a software lifecycle, including CI integration, evaluation, guardrails, and cost control
  • Experience improving organizational adoption of coding agents and LLM tooling
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and regression suite platform coverage
  • Ability to transition engineering teams from manual to automated testing
  • Fluency in delivery and reliability metrics
  • Clear writing skills for proposals and decision records in a remote, asynchronous company
  • Track record of independently adopting generative AI to accelerate personal and team work
  • Direct, low-ego, customer-minded, and human-centric approach
