About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own how Hostaway chooses what to build and prove what product changes deliver
  • Set product measurement standards, including definitions of active and adopting customers and analysis segmentation
  • Embed measurement in product planning, including sizing, expected metric impact and measurement plans in product requirements documents
  • Design measurement approaches where clean A/B tests are unavailable
  • Define measurement for AI-native products where activity metrics do not tell the full story
  • Bring quantitative evidence to product investment decisions
  • Improve metrics fluency so product managers can bring their own numbers to reviews
  • Set technical standards for tracking plans, instrumentation specifications and data quality
  • Build the product analytics function, starting with an experienced product analyst
  • Write SQL queries and build analyses hands-on
  • Mentor other analysts
  • Partner with Data Engineering on data models, pipelines, warehouse and architecture
  • Maintain a dotted-line partnership with the CTO
  • Report directly to the Chief Product Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years in product analytics, ideally in B2B SaaS at a scaling stage
  • Strong data foundations and ability to design reliable data models with Data Engineering
  • Experience setting up consistent event tracking across features and domains
  • Experience with SQLMesh is a plus
  • Heavy use of AI tools and understanding of where they help and mislead
  • Experience influencing senior leaders with evidence-based analysis
  • Experience helping companies move from gut-feel to data-led decisions
  • Experience building analytics operating models from the ground up
  • Ability to build business models that withstand finance-leader scrutiny
  • Ability to design fair comparisons in complex B2B products and communicate analytical limitations honestly
  • Hands-on SQL querying and analysis-building experience
  • Must be located within the EMEA region
  • Nice to have: experience measuring AI features, automated workflows or API usage; product-led growth; churn modeling; multi-user-type platform businesses; travel, hospitality or property technology
