About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead negotiation and lifecycle management of important commercial agreements, including OMNI Partner Network rate distribution agreements, OBT partnerships, customer contracts, and inbound vendor and SaaS agreements
  • Partner with Partnerships, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Product teams to move deals forward and deliver legally compliant experiences
  • Enhance contract templates, playbooks, and CLM workflows
  • Build tiered review models and embed legal early in the deal cycle
  • Provide practical guidance on commercial risk, contract escalation, and issue resolution
  • Ensure negotiations reflect Engine's risk appetite and commercial objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of hands-on commercial contracts experience
  • J.D. with an active bar admission in good standing
  • Experience in-house or at a firm with an established commercial transactional practice
  • Deep working knowledge of partnership, distribution, SaaS, and vendor contracts
  • Ability to translate legal risk into business outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Pragmatic negotiation skills
  • Experience with data processing agreements, government contracting, international/cross-border commercial work, or M&A commercial diligence is a plus
  • Experience with CLM platforms such as Ironclad, LinkSquares, Docusign CLM, or similar is a bonus
  • Ability to own a broad book of contracts and drive practical solutions
