Senior Lead OBT Implementation Manager
Hotel Engine. Lead TMC implementations end to end, including kickoff, discovery and scoping, project plan, risk log, go-live, and 30-day stabilization .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead TMC implementations end to end, including kickoff, discovery and scoping, project plan, risk log, go-live, and 30-day stabilization
- Run several launches in parallel
- Configure the platform for TMCs and corporate clients, including travel policies, approval flows, traveler profiles, display and content rules, rates, and chain rate-access approvals
- Own GDS readiness across Sabre, Travelport, and Amadeus, including pseudo-city and agency setup, PNR structure, queue placement, profile sync, ticketing, and mid-office handoff
- Scope and deliver integrations including SSO, HRIS profile feeds, expense systems, duty of care, reporting and BI, and commission tracking
- Run UAT with TMC agents and corporate admins; triage defects with Product and Engineering; make go/no-go decisions
- Build the implementation playbook, including timelines, configuration templates, UAT scripts, and migration runbooks
- Train agents, admins, and travel managers; produce reusable written and video collateral
- Document TMC requirements and gaps and provide implementation input to product reviews
- Support Sales with pre-sale technical discovery, RFPs, and implementation scoping for enterprise TMCs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years in implementation, onboarding, or customer success, including time at a TMC or travel technology company
- Experience building an implementation process rather than only running an existing one
- Hands-on GDS experience in at least one of Sabre, Travelport, or Amadeus
- Hands-on experience administering or supporting an online booking tool such as Concur, Deem, Spotnana, or similar
- Experience with profiles, policies, approvals, payment, and billing setup
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience managing or mentoring implementers, or building an implementation function from the first hire
- Comfort using AI tools to document, diagnose, and scale implementation content
- Bonus: experience inside a TMC
- Bonus: experience with direct bill, central billing, or corporate card setup in a travel program
- Bonus: background in meetings and events or group travel
