About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement greenfield services
- Replace legacy code with modern microservices, strong test coverage, and production-grade observability
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to translate requirements into engineering solutions
- Use Claude and/or Cursor as the primary development environment
- Independently drive projects, own work, surface blockers, and maintain progress
Requirements
What you’ll need- Comfortable using Claude, Cursor, or similar AI tools as the main coding interface
- Strong system design skills, including architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and infrastructure-level thinking
- Proven experience shipping complex systems
- Self-directed working style
- Comfortable handling ambiguity and cross-team requests
- Adaptable to shifting priorities
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Java or Kotlin experience (nice to have)
- SQL and relational databases (nice to have)
- Terraform, Datadog, or Splunk experience (nice to have)
- Candidates must be based in Latin America
- Full-time contractor role
