About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own automation systems and QA work from project kickoff through release, maintenance, and improvement
Write unit, component, API, and browser tests, selecting the appropriate testing layer for each risk
Build repeatable fixtures and isolated test data to verify workflow behavior and data integrity
Partner with developers and product managers on testability, acceptance criteria, and shared testing practices
Diagnose CI failures, improve unreliable tests, and report coverage, failures, and remaining risk
Use AI-assisted development while independently validating generated code and assertions
Monitor system health and turn production issues into regression coverage
Periodically work with support to triage client-facing production issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrated senior-level ownership of test automation or software engineering work
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React applications
Experience with Jest, Playwright, or comparable modern test frameworks
Able to use SQL to investigate data issues and verify persisted behavior in PostgreSQL or a similar database
Demonstrated AI-assisted development experience and a clear approach to verifying generated work
Experience diagnosing CI and production issues using logs and tools such as Sentry or Grafana
Initiative and clear communication across teams
