About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the vision and strategy for Housecall Pro’s Core Platform
Oversee foundational capabilities including identity and access management, APIs, data and search, developer experience, infrastructure, and the AI Software Factory
Ensure platform investments solve shared problems, are adopted across the company, and create measurable leverage
Balance long-term strategy with day-to-day execution across multiple platform areas
Manage and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers
Set long-term product vision and strategy across the Platform portfolio
Define which shared problems the platform should solve centrally and where teams need flexibility
Establish success measures for adoption, velocity, reliability, cost, quality, and risk reduction
Lead AI-native platform development and shape how people and agents use the platform
Hire, lead, and develop Product Managers
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Security, and Data teams to resolve competing needs and drive adoption
Represent the platform portfolio to product and company leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in product management
At least 3 years in product leadership roles with direct people management responsibilities
Proven track record of leading platform product teams and launching or scaling shared capabilities used across multiple products, teams, or customer experiences
Strong technical fluency across APIs, architecture, data, reliability, security, developer tooling, and technical tradeoffs
Ability to engage credibly with senior engineers
Hands-on experience building and shipping AI or agentic tools for engineers or internal users
Experience defining how AI or agentic tools are evaluated
Exceptional judgment and product taste
Strategic and hands-on leadership
Ability to change direction when new evidence warrants it
Strong bias for action balanced with sound judgment, quality, and reliability
Curious and self-directed
Track record of learning quickly and succeeding in unfamiliar or ambiguous areas
Rich portfolio of active, self-directed exploration showing exceptional breadth of cross-functional interests or profound depth of specialized mastery
Personal resilience to learn from scratch and thrive in ambiguity
