About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the monthly revenue close process and ensure timely, accurate US GAAP financial reporting
Manage accounting for all revenue transactions under ASC 606
Lead and mentor direct reports, supporting professional growth and setting performance expectations
Reconcile revenue, deferred revenue, and customer cash collection balances; identify and resolve variances
Partner with Sales Operations, Billing, Engineering, and Product teams on contract terms and new product launches
Support annual external audits by preparing reconciliations and auditor documentation
Evaluate and improve revenue accounting systems, automated workflows, and billing procedures
Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks and revenue-cycle documentation
Prepare monthly revenue flux analyses and provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership
Perform technical revenue accounting research and document conclusion memos for non-standard customer contracts

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of progressive accounting experience focused on revenue accounting, ASC 606, and subscription/SaaS business models
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
Proven experience driving team efficiency or output quality through strategic use of AI tools and automation
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and hands-on experience managing monthly revenue close workflows
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and billing platforms, including NetSuite and Stripe
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Experience managing a team
Self-starter mindset and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders
High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
Ability to learn from scratch and thrive in ambiguity
