About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead engineering for data-intensive reporting and integration products
  • Turn product strategy into delivery plans and shipped outcomes
  • Partner closely with Product Management to solve customer problems and deliver value
  • Make architecture decisions supporting efficient partner operations at scale
  • Build alongside the team in Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, K8s, and GCP
  • Raise operational excellence and engineering maturity
  • Own team development, performance management, and hiring for a team of 8+ engineers
  • Establish context, trust, and team-management ownership during the first three months
  • Shape roadmaps and drive technical solutions by month six
  • Report to the VP of Engineering
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Design
  • Act as the link between engineering execution and business strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven hands-on Tech Lead or Engineering Manager experience with a product team
  • Track record of shipping and running large-scale, data-intensive SaaS systems
  • High standards for availability, latency, and data quality
  • Full-stack competence with Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, K8s, and GCP
  • Experience operating production systems, including observability, incident response, and performance optimization
  • Strong product and engineering judgment
  • Experience mentoring engineers, setting high standards, and scaling delivery systems
  • Practical, production-grade AI/LLM engineering experience or strong ability to ramp quickly
  • Experience shipping AI-driven capabilities safely
  • Ability to use AI tools and design or optimize agent harnesses
  • Ability to work from the Helsinki office 2–3 days a week
