About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and execute territory sales plans meeting or exceeding sales targets and supporting revenue and profit objectives
  • Identify market trends and competitor strategies
  • Conduct in-office and phone/email calls with Eye Care Professional accounts to generate sales and build customer relationships
  • Prepare annual call plans, route plans, and daily physical call plans
  • Deliver product training and education to Eye Care Professionals and their staff
  • Analyze account metrics and assist customers with problem solving, including non-adapt, fitting issues, customer presentation skills, and finishing lab skills
  • Execute marketing programs and promotions
  • Build long-term relationships with existing and new customers
  • Maintain communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospects
  • Complete sales activity reports and presentations
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Care, lab personnel, and Accounting to ensure high customer service standards
  • Manage sales for the Lower Mainland and Central British Columbia

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post Secondary Degree, College Diploma or relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of related sales experience
  • Demonstrated sales track record, new sales track record & quota attainment
  • Computer skills
  • Experience using iPad, iPhone, laptop, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively utilize CRM systems
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in new business development and lead qualification
  • Optical industry exposure and dispensing license is an asset
  • Self motivated with a strong passion to for success
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and organize schedule
  • Ability to travel extensively by car within the assigned territory, including overnight and/or weekend travel for trade/industry events as required
