About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve sales objectives and grow sales volume for Hoya Vision Care products in the assigned territory
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Add new Eye Care Professional accounts and grow existing ECP business and customer loyalty
  • Execute sales strategy, prospect for new accounts, and deliver new business acquisitions
  • Meet customers in person, including daily driving and overnight stays
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and territory performance through prospecting, new business acquisition, and KPI execution
  • Manage the monthly sales budget and expenses
  • Establish customer relationships using a consultative sales approach
  • Develop trusted-advisor relationships with Eye Care Professionals
  • Plan territory drive plans and document key actions using corporate tools and applications
  • Collaborate with Lab Partners, Customer Service, Marketing, Revenue Management, and other internal departments
  • Deliver Quarterly Business Reviews covering prospecting activity, KPIs, customer performance, and relevant insights
  • Maintain product expertise through continual learning
  • Manage territory sales budget and strategic initiatives
  • Open new opportunities through cold calls and sales analysis
  • Use Salesforce and Power BI to plan and execute territory activities
  • Develop and manage the customer pipeline to project future sales volume
  • Customize professional selling approaches based on segmentation, audience, and ECP business needs
  • Create detailed customer business plans with measurable goals
  • Analyze performance outcomes, adjust business plans, and develop strategic initiatives
  • Monitor marketplace trends, competitor activity, customer demographics, and customer needs
  • Train existing and prospective accounts on HOYA Vision Care products and promotions
  • Help ECPs improve their customers’ experience through evaluation and observation
  • Provide updates on products, pricing, customer feedback, and HOYA Business Reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years sales experience
  • Salesforce or comparable CRM experience for sales planning
  • Optical knowledge and experience are valuable
  • Computer and presentation skills (Microsoft Suite)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, valid auto insurance coverage, and access to a vehicle for daily in-person customer visits
  • Capable of regularly operating a vehicle for extended periods to travel the territory up to 90% of the time
  • Capable of driving for extended periods under varied conditions and spending extended periods sitting in the vehicle
  • Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per Hoya’s MVR policy
  • Flexible work schedules and occasional out-of-the-area and overnight travel are expected
  • Candidates must live in the territory
  • Ability to frequently sit, walk, and drive
  • Ability to occasionally stand and walk
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
