About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve sales objectives and grow sales volume for HOYA Vision Care products in the assigned territory
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Add new Eye Care Professional accounts and grow existing ECP business and customer loyalty
  • Execute sales strategy, prospect for new accounts, and deliver new business acquisitions
  • Travel throughout the territory and meet customers in person, including overnight stays
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and territory performance through prospecting, new business acquisition, and KPI execution
  • Manage the monthly sales budget and territory expenses
  • Establish consultative customer relationships and trusted-advisor relationships with ECPs
  • Plan territory drive plans, document key actions, monitor progress, and achieve sales objectives using corporate tools
  • Collaborate with Lab Partners, Customer Service, Marketing, Revenue Management, and other internal departments
  • Deliver quarterly business reviews covering prospecting activity, KPIs, customer performance, and relevant insights
  • Maintain product expertise and apply product knowledge in customer and prospect interactions
  • Manage territory sales budgets and strategic initiatives
  • Prospect through cold calls and analysis to create new business opportunities
  • Use Salesforce and Power BI to plan and execute territory activities
  • Develop and manage the customer pipeline to project future sales volume
  • Customize selling approaches based on segmentation, audience, and ECP business needs
  • Create customer-specific business plans with clear, measurable goals
  • Analyze performance outcomes, adjust business plans, and develop strategic initiatives
  • Monitor marketplace trends, competitor activity, customer demographics, and customer needs
  • Train current and prospective accounts on HOYA Vision Care products and promotions
  • Evaluate customer touchpoints to help ECPs improve customer experience
  • Provide updates on products, pricing, customer feedback, and HOYA business reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must reside in the territory
  • 1 to 3 years sales experience
  • Salesforce or comparable CRM experience for sales planning
  • Optical knowledge and experience are valuable for understanding vision care complexities
  • Computer and presentation skills (Microsoft Suite)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid auto insurance coverage
  • Access to a vehicle for daily in-person customer visits
  • Capable of regularly operating a vehicle for extended periods and traveling the territory up to 90% of the time
  • Capable of driving for extended periods under varied conditions and sitting in a vehicle
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per HOYA’s MVR policy
  • Flexible schedules and occasional out-of-area and overnight travel
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Frequently sit, walk, and drive; occasionally stand and walk
  • Frequently lift or move 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
