About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with customers, account teams, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders to understand business challenges, technical requirements, workloads, infrastructure, data environments, and desired outcomes
Translate customer requirements into Edge AI and Advanced Compute architectures and implementation strategies
Identify opportunities involving AI inference, computer vision, intelligent edge workloads, advanced compute, and related technologies
Design end-to-end Edge AI solutions incorporating edge computing platforms, CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, AI accelerators, inference, computer vision, data processing, containers, orchestration, management, observability, networking, security, device management, cloud/hybrid-cloud integration, and ecosystem technologies
Develop architectures addressing performance, scalability, manageability, security, reliability, cost, and operational requirements
Own technical execution of customer POCs, pilots, and solution validations
Define POC objectives, success criteria, business outcomes, architecture, timelines, responsibilities, and exit criteria
Configure, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and optimize Edge AI solutions in customer and lab environments
Move successful POCs into production deployments and develop productionization plans
Identify barriers to production and develop mitigation plans
Partner with HP Services, engineering, partners, ISVs, Enterprise Architecture, and customer teams throughout the lifecycle
Serve as a subject matter expert within HP's Edge AI and Advanced Compute Practice
Build reusable architectures, technical patterns, reference designs, demos, POC frameworks, and deployment methodologies
Capture engagement lessons and provide insights to HP product, engineering, services, and practice development teams
Support sales and business development through customer workshops, architecture sessions, executive briefings, demonstrations, RFP responses, solution presentations, bills of materials, technical proposals, and deployment assumptions
Help differentiate HP's Edge AI and Advanced Compute capabilities through customer-focused technical solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5 years of experience in technical presales, forward deployment engineering, solution engineering or architecture, AI infrastructure, advanced compute, or a related discipline
Experience designing and deploying AI, Edge AI, computer vision, advanced compute, or accelerated computing solutions
Hands-on knowledge of modern AI infrastructure including GPUs, CPUs, NPUs, accelerators, containers, networking, storage, and hybrid-cloud technologies
Experience taking technical solutions from POC or pilot into production environments
Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, application, and integration challenges
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, security, scalability, manageability, and production operational requirements
Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures and technical capabilities into business outcomes
Strong customer-facing presentation, communication, and technical storytelling skills
Ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, product management, services, partners, and customer organizations
Preferred: Experience with AI inference and Edge AI frameworks; NVIDIA and other accelerated-compute ecosystems; computer vision, video analytics, generative AI, and AI inference workloads; Kubernetes, containers, Linux, APIs, and modern application architectures; ISVs and technology ecosystem partners; enterprise customers in Edge AI-intensive industries; production reference architectures and repeatable solution patterns
