About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop ABAP HCM solutions, including reports, classes, BAdIs, infotype enhancements, forms, and calculation functions
- Analyze requirements with the functional team and propose the most appropriate technical approach, prioritizing standard functionality and the clean core concept
- Prepare technical specifications and effort estimates
- Troubleshoot complex incidents in production environments, including performance analysis
- Contribute to defining the team’s development standards, including naming conventions, modularization, and code reviews
- Review the technical work of junior and mid-level professionals and support their development
- Lead medium- and high-complexity development work in implementation, enhancement, and support projects for HR solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- More than 6 years of experience in ABAP development, with significant experience in ABAP HR (PA, OM, PT, and/or PY)
- Strong knowledge of ABAP OO, BAdIs, enhancements, BAPIs, ALV, and forms
- Experience with HR logical databases, payroll and time clusters, and standard module functions
- Experience in project environments and AMS support
- Advanced English proficiency
- Preferred: experience with payroll schemas and calculation rules (PCRs), as well as custom functions and operations
- Preferred: experience in Employee Central Payroll projects
- Preferred: knowledge of CDS Views, ABAP Unit, and ATC
- Preferred: knowledge of SAPUI5/Fiori development
- Preferred: SAP ABAP certification
- Autonomy and a strong sense of ownership of delivered solutions
- Clear technical communication with clients and the functional team
- Willingness to mentor others and share knowledge
- Strong focus on quality and standardization
