About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges and analytical needs
Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and actionable insights
Design and develop reliable, scalable analytics solutions addressing real business problems
Use SQL and Python to interrogate, analyse and model data
Apply statistical and advanced analytical techniques to support better decision making
Translate analytical findings into clear and commercially meaningful recommendations
Support key business initiatives through detailed analysis and data-driven recommendations
Identify existing data assets and contribute to developing new analytical assets
Collaborate across Data Strategy & Analytics, including Data Development and Data Visualisation teams
Help manage and prioritise analytical requests against strategic objectives
Build stakeholder relationships and support data-led decision making
Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, with knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques
Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking capability
Experience using data and analytics to solve business problems and deliver measurable outcomes
Experience working with and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions
Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, practical and actionable business insights
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Experience within financial services and/or data analytics consulting
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Databricks, Snowflake and dbt
Experience applying data analytics across customer, marketing, operations or process optimisation
Experience developing analytical or statistical models to support commercial decision making
