About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead design scoping of complex initiatives across internal teams, advice ecosystem partners and large financial institutions
Translate business priorities, customer needs, technical constraints and stakeholder expectations into clear design problems and delivery options
Shape end-to-end experiences across professional and investor products, including reporting, engagement, transactions, administration and platform workflows
Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, subject matter experts, Operations teams and external stakeholders
Facilitate workshops and working sessions to clarify trade-offs and progress complex decisions
Develop journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
Use research, data, stakeholder insights and domain knowledge to support evidence-based design decisions
Design complex financial and operational scenarios, including decision points, exceptions, communications and status visibility
Communicate design rationale, risks, trade-offs and recommended approaches
Produce documented design artefacts for delivery handover
Apply design system patterns and identify opportunities for new patterns
Incorporate feedback while maintaining a consistent user experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years’ experience in product design, UX or interaction design
Experience with complex digital products in a corporate environment
Experience operating at a senior or lead level
Ability to structure ambiguous or complex initiatives
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience across the product development lifecycle, from discovery and scoping through delivery support
Experience designing complex workflows involving financial transactions, operational processes, regulated environments or multi-party decision-making
Strong product, interaction and systems-thinking capabilities
Ability to balance customer needs with commercial outcomes, risk, compliance and technical feasibility
Ability to simplify complex journeys and make edge cases easy to understand
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Experience partnering with Engineering and delivery teams
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving scope and requirements
Experience within wealth management, investment platforms, regulated financial services or enterprise partnerships highly regarded
Understanding of front-end technologies and delivery constraints beneficial
