About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical and commercial support for distribution protection and control products
- Serve as a key resource for customers, customer service representatives, sales managers, field engineers, agents, and Hubbell subsidiaries
- Develop expertise in assigned product lines to assist with product application, troubleshooting, and customer support
- Act as a liaison between the PCORE facility and customers, directly and through the Hubbell Sales Organization
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service teams to support product promotion, business growth, and customer success
- Review customer RFQs and product applications and recommend PCORE products
- Participate in quotation and bidding processes
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns and coordinate solutions with Production Control, Engineering, and Marketing
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to address technical challenges and customer-specific requirements
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and opportunities within Transformer OEMs and utility replacement markets
- Build and maintain customer relationships through site visits, technical consultations, and product presentations
- Support pricing strategy development and implementation for bushing products
- Create and maintain marketing materials, technical literature, and sales tools
- Participate in industry events, customer meetings, and trade functions
- Prepare reports, presentations, and follow-up communications
- Maintain strong knowledge of PCORE products, applications, and industry standards
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Customer-facing experience providing technical support and solutions
- General understanding of power distribution systems
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, General Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
- Associate degree in a technical discipline with relevant utility, manufacturing, or engineering experience may be considered
- Experience in the electric utility industry preferred
- Experience in Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Technical Sales, or a related field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present complex technical information to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness and ability to travel for customer visits, industry events, and business-related activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, and PowerPoint preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and sit for extended periods
- Frequent use of a computer, telephone, and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and virtually
- Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds
- Ability to travel as required for business needs
