About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, test, and improve analytical tools supporting decisions across Planning, Merchandising, Buying, E-commerce, Operations, and Growth
Use SQL, BigQuery, Hex, and AI tools to analyze data, generate insights, prototype solutions, and automate manual workflows
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand current decision-making and identify opportunities for improved tooling
Translate business questions into analytical requirements and partner with Data & Tech on architecture or production support
Build internal tools and prototypes, validate outputs against business results, and iterate based on user feedback
Pressure-test AI-generated work for accuracy
Document assumptions, logic, and business rules
Help transition successful prototypes into tools adopted by business teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong business curiosity and desire to understand business impact before building solutions
Growth mindset and ability to learn quickly
Ability to handle ambiguous problems, make reasonable assumptions, communicate them, and proceed
0–2 years of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply
Bachelor’s degree; all fields encouraged to apply
Comfort working with data; SQL is a plus
Ability to learn new tools quickly
Exposure to Python or another scripting language is helpful but not required
Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
High ownership and willingness to work without perfectly defined instructions
Meaningful experience using AI tools through coursework, internships, personal projects, or work experience
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to nontechnical stakeholders
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Must be based at the Austin, Texas headquarters; relocation support is provided for remote hires
