About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own relationships with assigned health system clients or pursue new health system relationships
  • Own the full relationship or pursuit lifecycle for assigned health system accounts
  • Build and maintain a disciplined, accurate pipeline of opportunities
  • Lead discovery conversations and deliver the end-to-end Hummingbird pitch to senior audiences
  • Advance advisory-only engagements into long-term managed services relationships
  • Negotiate terms within established guardrails
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Build trusted executive relationships with clients
  • Generate qualified leads through targeted outreach, conferences, referrals, and partnership channels
  • Lead executive-level value conversations
  • Partner with Strategy and Service Delivery on expansion decisions and transitions at close
  • Bring market and account intelligence back to the team
  • Client Success Executive: deepen partnerships, lead renewal and expansion conversations, and convert advisory engagements into managed services
  • Business Development Executive: prospect through outreach and conferences and move new contacts from first conversation to signed deal
  • Travel regularly for onsite client visits or conferences and prospect meetings, depending on path

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8–10+ years of experience in business development, account management, or client success in a healthcare IT or patient access environment
  • Consistent executive-level relationship building experience
  • Hands-on experience working in or closely alongside Epic
  • Experience navigating multiple stakeholders in a single sale, including CFOs, CIOs, and Chiefs of Ambulatory Operations
  • Strong systems thinking and sound judgment in high-risk, high-uncertainty client environments
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and pipeline management tools
  • Comfort working remotely
  • Client Success Executive: experience managing complex health system relationships, converting advisory-only engagements into managed services relationships, and leading renewal or expansion conversations
  • Business Development Executive: experience building pipeline at net-new accounts and closing complex deals with health system executives
  • Experience serving as project director on a healthcare IT or patient access implementation or consulting engagement is nice to have
  • Experience leading multi-team initiatives end-to-end is nice to have
  • Experience in a start-up or rapidly growing environment is nice to have
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
