About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, maintain, and update project schedules, track deadlines, and flag potential delays
  • Create, assign, follow up, and close project tasks while maintaining standardised task templates
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices, cost codes, budgets, and cost-to-complete figures
  • Identify cost issues early and help protect project margins
  • Prepare, price, issue, and track variations through approval, invoicing, and payment
  • Keep clients informed through weekly project updates, variation documentation, extension notices, and selection follow-ups
  • Maintain current project documentation, including plans, specifications, selections, interior design documents, and council approvals
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager, construction team, office team, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Escalate potential delays, cost issues, and project risks before they become larger problems
  • Use Buildertrend or a similar construction project management platform, Google Workspace, Google Chat, and Dext

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally including 3+ years in construction, contract administration, or project coordination
  • 2+ years of daily experience using a project management platform
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or similar
  • Strong understanding of construction project scheduling, budgets, costs, purchase orders, and variations
  • Highly organised and disciplined, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues early
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to monitor costs and protect project margins
  • Strong written English and the ability to produce clear, concise, and professional client communication
  • Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders independently
  • Comfortable working within defined responsibilities and supporting the site team without directing site activities
  • Reliable computer and internet connection
  • Ability to align with AU (ACDT/Adelaide time) business hours
  • Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
