About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take ownership of the existing custom ERP codebase and understand its architecture, workflows, and business logic
Review, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing Laravel applications
Develop and implement new features based on business requirements
Work across backend and frontend components
Manage databases, APIs, and third-party integrations
Investigate bugs, identify root causes, and implement practical fixes
Improve code reliability, performance, and maintainability
Support transition and documentation from the outgoing developer
Support workflows including order intake, artwork processing, customer approvals, printing, production, and dispatch
Explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Recommend system improvements and development priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of professional full stack development experience
Strong hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel
Experience working with an existing codebase
Good understanding of databases, APIs, and third-party integrations
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Ability to understand business processes and translate them into practical technical solutions
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
Experience with ERP, e-commerce, manufacturing, order management, or similar systems is highly desirable
Ability to align with AU business hours, approximately 9 AM–5 PM, Monday to Friday
Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
