About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Edit approximately 1–2 real estate videos per day and deliver polished, professionally finished content.
- Edit property photographs, including colour correction, lighting adjustments, exposure and removal of unwanted elements.
- Apply creative judgement to produce natural-looking interior lighting and property footage edits.
- Review incoming shoots and uploaded content each morning and manage editing priorities.
- Organise, process and upload files before delivering completed projects to clients.
- Follow established editing preferences, workflows and brand guidelines.
- Communicate progress and flag issues with footage or project requirements.
- Potentially take on additional editing work from other videographers as the business grows.
- Support content creation for a new real estate platform as the business expands.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong professional experience in both photo and video editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent professional video editing software.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or equivalent photo editing software.
- Good understanding of colour grading, colour correction, exposure and lighting.
- Strong creative eye and attention to detail, with the ability to produce natural-looking edits.
- Ability to work independently, manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Good organisational and file management skills.
- Experience in real estate photography and videography is nice to have.
- Experience working with Australian or US clients is nice to have.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools and automated workflows is nice to have.
- Experience with HDR photography, Dropbox and digital file delivery platforms is nice to have.
- Candidates from adjacent industries such as architecture, interiors, commercial videography and hospitality are welcome if their portfolio demonstrates the required quality and editing style.
- Shortlisted candidates must complete a practical editing assessment using raw property footage and reference examples, covering video and photo editing, technical ability, creativity and output quality.
- Successful candidates must disclose existing ongoing roles or client work.
- Successful candidates must reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile as “Independent Contractor”.
