About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support originating and executing transactions in the project finance and infrastructure segment
  • Provide debt structuring and arrangement for large-scale, capital-intensive infrastructure projects
  • Work with Managing Directors, Associates, and Portfolio Managers to expand Huntington National Bank’s presence in U.S. project finance and infrastructure
  • Lead execution of project finance transactions across the capital stack, including construction financing and back-leverage term financing
  • Lead analytical financial structuring
  • Oversee development of detailed financial models
  • Assist with technical, legal, and structuring due diligence
  • Assist with presenting proposed transactions to management and the credit group
  • Conduct research with senior professionals
  • Assist in ongoing management of booked assets
  • Assist in prospecting new clients, creating marketing materials, and interfacing with internal product groups
  • Assume increasing responsibility for deal processes and potentially lead deal teams on transactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or additional 4 years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project finance and infrastructure
  • Experience building and working in financial models
  • Positive track record in energy and/or non-energy infrastructure finance preferred
  • Ability to thrive in an intense and energetic environment while managing multiple deals and responsibilities
  • Ability to adapt to change, new tools, technologies, and trends
  • Collaboration-oriented approach
