About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design security solutions that protect business and customer data while enabling business execution and innovation
- Work closely with security engineering, IT infrastructure, application development, security operations, security audit, and end users
- Architect solutions securing business-to-business initiatives, third-party relationships, outsourced solutions, and vendors
- Provide expert guidance for current security issues and proactively deliver secure solutions as the threat landscape changes
- Think like an adversary and identify how solutions should evolve
- Perform security architecture, technical leadership, and research and development
- Partner with product managers and solution architects to set the security direction of offerings and articulate the value proposition
- Provide guidance to Line of Business CIOs
- Serve as final approver of information security controls on projects
- Guide businesses in leveraging common information security patterns
- Partner with subject matter experts to improve information security patterns and services
- Deliver cybersecurity architecture work associated with project delivery and roadmaps
- Provide technical leadership to the cybersecurity organization
- Perform research and development to enable future cybersecurity capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years cybersecurity architecture
- 8+ years of information security experience
- 10+ years of experience delivering technology solutions in large-scale complex organizations
- Associate's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of traditional security controls and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, PKI, IDAM, antivirus, and firewalls
- Knowledge of EDR, threat intelligence platforms, security automation and orchestration, deception technologies, and application controls
- 5+ years of experience in architecture, governance, risk management, PCI DSS control governance, application security, encryption, key management, and identity and access management
- Experience with mobile and web application design, development, and management principles, practices, and procedures
- Experience influencing management on technical and business solutions
- Experience with cloud computing technologies, including software-, infrastructure-, and platform-as-a-service, and public, private, and hybrid environments
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of data protection technologies and practices
- Knowledge of threat analysis and assessment of information security risks and threats
- Strong understanding of application or software security, including dynamic application security testing, secure code review, and secure static code analysis
- Knowledge of cryptography and key management
- Knowledge of service-oriented architecture and associated security controls
- Knowledge of enterprise authentication and authorization technologies, including LDAP, SAML, XACML, and reverse authenticating proxies
- General understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Experience architecting applications for financial services business
