About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate and expand client relationships by providing payment solutions and recommendations in the business/middle market space from $3–$50 million
  • Partner with business bankers to identify new merchant-services sales opportunities
  • Coach partners, call on prospects and clients, manage leads, make presentations, close sales, and manage appointments and schedules
  • Attend leadership meetings and keep partners engaged in referrals and calling efforts
  • Prospect actively and build relationships with new clients, converting leads into partnerships
  • Sell Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, check processing, gift cards, ACH, and related hardware and software solutions
  • Build pipeline, convert leads, navigate complex hardware and software needs, and close deals while exceeding daily and weekly targets
  • Collaborate with bank units to identify cross-selling possibilities and maximize client profitability
  • Resolve client concerns and build long-lasting relationships through expertise and service
  • Teach, coach, motivate, and drive merchant education and sales growth within the banker coverage team
  • Report leads, opportunities, and status updates in the CRM; use dashboards and reports to understand sales trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years sales experience in financial services and the ability to close deals and achieve ambitions targets
  • 4+ years working with Fiserv products and Clover product suite
  • 4+ years technical skills and experience with card-present and card-not-present solutions
  • 4+ years Salesforce experience
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Business travel, as necessary
  • Preferred: 2–5 years’ experience in merchant services sales in the $3–$50 million space
  • Preferred: Previous sales expertise in the business/middle market space from $3–$50 million in annual sales
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multitask and juggle complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to utilize technology effectively to manage workload and client relationships
  • Ability to approach challenges creatively and find solutions benefiting clients and the bank
  • Thorough knowledge of software programs including Word and Excel, with ability to quickly learn additional systems/software
  • Fluency in an additional language preferred
  • Proficiency in Salesforce preferred
