About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a complex portfolio of real estate assets held in fiduciary accounts, including commercial, residential, agricultural, and other assets
  • Provide strategic oversight of trust-held real estate assets in alignment with fiduciary obligations, client and account investment objectives, and organizational goals
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert on trust real estate matters
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to senior management, fiduciary committees, trust officers, and other stakeholders
  • Oversee acquisitions, dispositions, leasing activities, financing arrangements, development projects, and property restructurings
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, fiduciary standards, internal policies, and trust-specific governing documents
  • Direct property valuation, financial analysis, market assessments, and due diligence
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, operational, environmental, financial, and reputational risks
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-fiduciaries, beneficiaries, attorneys, appraisers, brokers, property managers, and external partners
  • Lead negotiations involving real estate transactions, vendor contracts, lease agreements, and other matters affecting trust-held assets
  • Prepare and present portfolio analyses, asset performance reports, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, trust committees, and governance groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, General Business, Management or Real Estate major preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in real estate or asset management
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives and operate with a high degree of autonomy
  • Sound judgment and strategic decision-making with minimal oversight
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Advanced quantitative, valuation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Advanced financial modeling and investment analysis expertise
  • Extensive proficiency in Excel for cash flow forecasting, scenario analysis, and portfolio management
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and present recommendations to clients, senior leadership, and external partners
  • Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation preferred
  • Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology platforms used to support asset management, portfolio reporting, and strategic decision-making
