About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and resolve issues against ServiceNow applications
- Advise internal teams and lines of business regarding process and technology inefficiencies within the platform
- Perform routine maintenance, including performance monitoring and error identification/remediation
- Maintain and improve overall platform stability and incorporate identified best practices
- Apply ServiceNow best practices and remediate technical debt in the Now platform
- Manage instance security, user/group access, roles, associated relationships, and ACLs
- Provide platform training and knowledge to internal teams and external business partners
- Develop a platform-wide reporting strategy and maintenance plan
- Analyze, design, and develop systems based on user specifications
- May assist with training less experienced staff
- May serve as project leader for specific projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience
- 5+ years of ServiceNow platform engineering or related technical experience
- Experience with ServiceNow best practices
- Configuration and modification of the ServiceNow platform in relevant areas including ITSM, CSM, Intelligent Apps, HR Service Delivery, Security Operations, GRC/IRM, SAM, ITBM, and ITOM
- Familiarity with User Experience Tools, Service Intelligence, and Service Experiences
- Knowledge and experience working with Web Services, REST, and JSONv2
- Strong knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming (OOP)
