About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set technical direction and engineering standards
- Contribute hands-on to design, development and code review
- Lead engineering practices across frontend, backend, DevOps and QA, including AI-assisted engineering
- Define how AI is used across the software lifecycle, including design, testing, documentation and troubleshooting
- Own release planning, deployment and incident response
- Ensure quality, security, performance and operational readiness
- Work with the Product Owner, Solution Architect and IT on technical debt, Sitecore upgrades, integrations, architecture and CI/CD
- Coach developers, support recruitment and bring a cost/FinOps perspective to decisions
- Build lasting technical ownership in-house and reduce dependencies on suppliers and key individuals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Senior experience as a software engineer, lead developer or Tech Lead for a customer-facing digital product
- Strong experience with Sitecore and its .NET-based ecosystem
- Solid skills in modern web engineering, APIs, integrations, CI/CD, automated testing and secure development
- Preferably experience with Microsoft Azure
- Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and introducing new ways of working
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Experience with React, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, FinOps or multi-market platforms is a plus
