About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage technically complex development projects from idea and concept through industrialization and serial production
- Manage project scope, time, cost and quality
- Ensure robust technology and architecture decisions aligned with product and market requirements
- Drive requirements management, risk management and technical decision-making
- Collaborate with overall project managers, R&D line managers, and internal and external stakeholders
- Follow up project results from technical and financial perspectives
- Contribute strategically to improving R&D processes and ways of working
- Work closely with suppliers and development units around the world
- Ensure essential technical decisions, structure and quality throughout the development process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics
- At least 5 years of experience in product development in an industrial environment
- Experience in technical project management or leading roles in development projects
- Experience with informal leadership responsibilities, leading technical initiatives, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, driving technical decisions or acting as a lead engineer
- Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written
- Experience in system architecture and system requirements considered a strong merit
- Experience with battery-powered products considered a strong merit
- Experience with high-volume production considered a strong merit
- Experience with mechanical CAD, preferably CATIA V5, considered a strong merit
- Experience working in global development and supplier networks considered a strong merit
- Communicative, collaborative and confident in an international context
- Analytical, structured and solution oriented
- Clear leadership and strong decision-making skills
- Strong customer focus and ability to translate user needs into sustainable, cost-efficient and robust technical solutions
