About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maximize overall hotel revenue for rooms and food and beverage through effective pricing and distribution strategies
- Out-perform direct competitors by winning market share through competitive pricing, targeted marketing, and hotel inventory management
- Manage and oversee revenue management analytics and reporting to support and evaluate hotel business strategies
- Provide guidance and support for sales and marketing initiatives
- Produce accurate revenue forecasts and help set hotel goals
- Mentor, develop, and guide revenue analysts, managers, and other hotel team members
- Oversee the hotel’s revenue management and reservation team in developing transient and group inventory restrictions and pricing strategies
- Lead ownership and asset management relationships on commercial strategy with the Director of Sales and General Manager
- Implement resort sales strategy and pricing recommendations across channels, Hyatt revenue systems, and market segments
- Lead luxury rate strategy with consortia and distribution partners
- Analyze strategy and tactic results monthly
- Execute Hyatt corporate revenue management initiatives and maintain required standards
- Manage relationships with major OTA market managers
- Create and manage the resort revenue forecasting process, including 11-day, monthly, and annual forecasts
- Prepare the annual resort budget
- Develop group pricing and inventory strategies with the Director of Sales
- Develop pricing strategy for business/leisure travel sales teams based on demand projections and competitive analysis
- Partner with sales, events, and marketing leaders on account strategies and SEO/SEM goals
- Facilitate weekly Sales Strategy and daily Business Review meetings
- Manage Hyatt revenue systems including eFlex, Reserve, Opera, Envision, and Passkey
- Coordinate front-office upselling and sell-out management programs
- Work with Events to maximize meeting-space utilization and room and food-and-beverage revenue
- Represent the hotel at regional/state industry functions
- Consult with Group Sales, Event Sales, and Event Planning teams on group and catering business strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred as a Revenue Manager or Director in hotel revenue management organization
- Minimum of 1 year preferred leading others in a dynamic team environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred with Excel and related data management systems
- Technically skilled in managing hotel industry revenue management systems, central reservation systems, property management systems, sales and catering systems, Passkey, and Cognos or another business intelligence tool
- Refined written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate or Expert skill level in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Understanding and analysis of financial statements
- Ability to develop and deliver training materials
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations
