About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide Global Enterprise and Transient Sales through its next stage of growth
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve Hyatt’s global sales goals
  • Lead the Global Enterprise Team managing Hyatt’s top 50 global accounts
  • Oversee the Transient sales team
  • Implement strategies and targets to drive loyalty, grow revenue, shift market share and strengthen Hyatt’s brand preference
  • Assess business results, team practices, customer needs and market conditions
  • Identify gaps and opportunities and recommend and implement performance improvements
  • Establish a disciplined operating rhythm for reporting, decisions and follow-through
  • Collaborate with regional vice presidents across Hyatt Sales Force segments and cross-functional teams
  • Lead communication with the field and align targets to support new, brand and priority hotels
  • Maintain strong industry relationships and represent Hyatt in relevant organizations and events
  • Set sales priorities and performance expectations for Global Enterprise and Transient
  • Ensure priority enterprise accounts have actionable account strategies and multi-year roadmaps
  • Use account, revenue, market and customer data to identify trends, risks, whitespace and opportunities
  • Lead business reviews and reporting cadence; improve forecasting, pipeline and account-performance visibility
  • Evaluate processes, prioritize changes and lead implementation
  • Develop leaders and sellers through coaching, feedback and clear standards
  • Manage competing priorities, resolve conflicts and influence stakeholders
  • Travel for customer and internal meetings, account reviews, sponsored events, industry trade shows and other business needs
  • Report directly to the VP of Global Sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 12 years of sales experience, including at least 10 years in the corporate travel segment
  • Deep understanding of the corporate travel and transient segments
  • Strong network of customer and industry relationships
  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams and developing talent
  • Ability to set direction, coach performance and lead through influence
  • Track record of building and executing strategic account plans, customer roadmaps and growth strategies for complex enterprise relationships
  • Strong analytical and business acumen
  • Ability to interpret sales, account and market data and convert insights into practical decisions and actions
  • Experience establishing or improving sales reporting, business reviews, forecasting or performance-management practices
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM and Reporting Tools
  • Sound judgment and commitment to Hyatt’s core values, policies and procedures
  • Ability to work remotely and independently from a home office; willingness to travel as needed
  • Hotel on property or above property sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Hotels and Sales Practices preferred
  • Prior experience leading a team preferred
  • Advanced Excel knowledge preferred
  • Understanding of RFP Tools including ReadyBid, Tripbam, BTP and Ratefinding, and/or programs such as SynXis and Agency360 preferred
  • Knowledge of corporate travel programs and offerings preferred
