About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the combined Sales and Revenue strategy and commercial outcomes for assigned Essentials openings and conversions through the pre-opening phase and defined transition point
- Translate market positioning, segmentation, and demand opportunity into integrated hotel plans covering account priorities, source markets, pricing, inventory, forecasts, channels, milestones, and success measures
- Identify and develop qualified pipelines across Corporate, Group, Association, Government, SMERF, Entertainment, Leisure, Extended Stay, and other segments
- Identify priority accounts and coordinate introductions, sales calls, customer presentations, site visits, familiarization trips, and market activations
- Execute scalable sales actions with Commercial Activation Services and Hyatt Sales Force while retaining accountability for hotel priorities and completion
- Own Sales readiness milestones including CRM readiness, account assignment, lead management, collateral, customer communications, and hotel-level ownership
- Develop BAR structure, room-type pricing, packages, rate plans, inventory controls, restrictions, segmentation, and opening forecast assumptions
- Ensure RMS, CRS, PMS, channel-management, and distribution workflows are configured and validated before opening
- Resolve configuration, data-integrity, rate-loading, and channel issues with commercial, revenue, distribution, and hotel teams
- Establish revenue operating rhythms for pace, pricing, inventory, and forecast management from Day One
- Ensure hotel leadership understands strategy, account priorities, pipeline, pricing, inventory, forecasts, and required launch actions
- Monitor sales pace, production, pipeline conversion, account acquisition, booking pace, ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, segmentation, channel mix, and competitive signals
- Identify performance gaps and implement account, pricing, inventory, forecast, distribution, or demand-generation changes
- Lead hotel and owner/operator Sales and Revenue working sessions
- Communicate with the Essentials Performance Lead, Commercial Strategy–Marketing, Regional Commercial Services, hotel leaders, and owners/operators
- Provide hotel-level insights, risks, decisions, and recommended actions for portfolio reviews
- Contribute to common account, pricing, forecasting, conversion, distribution, and opening playbooks
- Use AI-enabled tools, standardized templates, and automation where appropriate
- Prepare structured transitions of account intelligence, pipeline, customer commitments, pricing and inventory strategy, system status, forecasts, risks, and open actions
- Protect customer relationships and active opportunities during transition
- Travel as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in hospitality across Revenue Management, Sales, commercial strategy, performance optimization, or multidisciplinary commercial roles
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-property or portfolio performance, including new openings, conversions, transitions, and/or post-opening optimization
- Strong Revenue and Sales acumen connecting Sales, Revenue, Marketing, distribution, and operational levers to topline performance
- Strong analytical and performance-management skills
- Experience developing and adjusting hotel-level commercial strategies based on brand positioning, market dynamics, segmentation, competitive performance, and demand patterns
- Strong stakeholder-management skills with hotel leaders, owners/operators, regional leaders, and global functional partners
- Ability to manage multiple hotels and competing priorities in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organization
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Revenue Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience overseeing multi-property regional or brand portfolios (preferred)
- Experience in commercial transformation, performance optimization, or portfolio-level leadership roles (preferred)
- Experience across multiple commercial disciplines and influencing senior stakeholders (preferred)
- Experience with hotel revenue, sales, CRM, distribution, forecasting, and performance-management systems (preferred)
- Travel as required based on hotel openings, performance needs, owner/operator engagement, and portfolio priorities
