Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide teams in low-complexity environments in understanding and following basic agile principles, techniques, and software methodologies
  • Teach software methodology concepts and apply practices in a context-sensitive and audience-appropriate manner
  • Plan and facilitate meetings for decision making, idea generation, planning, continuous improvement, problem solving, and alignment
  • Lead continuous learning events and support team development and growth
  • Guide teams in self-organization and collaboration around goals and objectives
  • Optimize the flow of value and support backlog management, team performance, and business value delivery
  • Identify and remove impediments using peer relationships and formal channels
  • Escalate issues when necessary and reduce team distractions and outside interruptions
  • Promote continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle using metrics
  • Assist with internal and external communication to improve organizational transparency
  • Identify and visualize dependencies impacting planned work
  • Influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners toward shared goals and objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience as an Agile practitioner
  • First-level Scrum Master certification (PSM I or CSM)
  • Strong understanding of agile principles, techniques, and software development methodologies
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Highest level of integrity, professionalism, and forthrightness
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with discretion and tact
  • Ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners without formal authority
