About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop comprehensive sales plans to meet or exceed quota
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for assigned high-risk, high-impact customers or partners
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior and executive-level leadership
  • Develop and communicate accurate real-time sales forecasts
  • Record customer account information, opportunities, commitments, conversations, visits, and calls in the CRM
  • Educate customers on company solutions and create new opportunities
  • Partner with sales solution engineers on software demonstrations
  • Engage specialists and support resources to advance opportunities
  • Determine the viability of RFP requests and influence response development
  • Develop closing plans and lead negotiation and contracting processes
  • Build strategic internal relationships to enhance sales execution
  • Attend and contribute to trade shows and marketing efforts
  • Educate and influence executives on future business and technical needs
  • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert for the sales team
  • Mentor, coach, and influence team members
  • Contribute to the growth and quality of sales processes
  • Consult on market trends, best practices, and industry insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience as an Account Manager in a complex environment
  • Proven track record of year-over-year sales generation success
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in sales, a relevant industry, or technology solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of best practices and market trends
  • Proficiency in opportunity management and account planning tools
  • Ability to develop comprehensive sales plans, manage high-risk, high-impact accounts, and deliver accurate real-time sales forecasting
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage executive-level stakeholders with discretion and tact
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to gain consensus across multiple departments and leadership levels
  • Up to 50% travel time required
  • Bonus: experience advising senior and executive-level leadership, strategic relationship development, industry expertise, RFP evaluation, closing strategies, mentoring/coaching, and trade shows or industry events
