About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the technical lead for complex customer engagements throughout the pre-sales process
  • Apply solutions and industry-vertical knowledge to lead pre-sales meetings, identify technical requirements, and formulate solution strategies
  • Create and present proposed-solution demonstrations to key customer stakeholders
  • Coordinate meetings with global services to transition key information and ensure seamless customer handoffs
  • Compose internal documentation reflecting all activity related to the solution strategy
  • Provide technical responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Improve internal efficiencies and stay current on best practices, market trends, and emerging technologies
  • Present Hyland solutions at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to team members
  • Partner with development on solution enhancements and contribute to the growth and technical capabilities of the pre-sales organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Significant experience in technical sales and relevant industry or technology
  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
  • Experience with general software implementation methodologies
  • Ability to manage projects to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies
  • Ability to speak and write with ease, clarity, and impact
  • Ability to establish rapport, gain trust, gain consensus, and collaborate across teams
  • Self-directed with a strong drive to learn and stay current professionally
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Up to 60% travel time required
  • Extensive knowledge of solution strategies and industry verticals
  • Experience composing detailed internal documentation and technical RFP responses
  • Experience presenting at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
