About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead capacity optimisation and cross-functional planning to maximise revenue, drive operational performance, and enhance customer experience
  • Manage teams optimising IAG Cargo’s capacity and coordinate planning across Commercial, Operations, and third-party teams
  • Monitor forward booked position, available capacity, and operational capability to guide Tactical Capacity and Commercial Delivery teams
  • Use handled tonnage forecasts at hubs to drive tactical and strategic planning and influence Sales activity
  • Align optimisation of capacity from IAG airline operating companies and external providers, including trucking, freighter, and interline capacity
  • Challenge Commercial, Operations, and Sales activity affecting optimal delivery
  • Analyse Integrated Planning performance data and implement strategic and tactical improvements to core KPIs
  • Own transformation-plan project delivery and foster continuous improvement
  • Review SLA and contract performance of capacity providers and offshore capability
  • Participate in external capacity sourcing negotiations to maximise flexibility and maintain an efficient cost base
  • Own performance of key regions and suppliers and align with Network Management during strategic capacity procurement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience managing multiple managers across shifts
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Analytical thinking with a structured approach to data and planning
  • Commercial astuteness and clear understanding of operational imperatives
  • Confidence under pressure and adaptability in a shift-based environment
  • Experience in network or lane management, inventory, or operational planning (desirable)
  • Proven oversight of contribution and performance metrics (desirable)
  • Familiarity with airline and trucking capacity sourcing (desirable)
  • Experience managing high-performing shift-based teams during constraints or disruption (desirable)
  • Familiarity with Optima and other airline cargo systems (desirable)
