About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Agree and deliver an appropriate suite of operational metrics for performance, cost, customer experience and employee targets
- Provide accurate, timely and relevant data and insight to improve operational performance
- Analyse performance data trends and conduct root cause analysis
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities for performance improvement
- Develop and maintain dashboards providing real-time operational performance visibility
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation
- Identify data availability gaps and propose practical solutions
- Partner with operational teams to develop, implement and track performance improvement initiatives
- Scope and lead or support improvement projects
- Support operational and strategic projects, coordinate actions and drive business objectives
- Contribute to the definition, communication and implementation of the Worldwide Operations strategy
- Represent Worldwide Operations across IAG Cargo regarding operational data requirements
- Interface with Data & Analytics teams on data provision, validation, metric development and data visualisation
- Ensure adherence to governance for regular operational performance reviews
- Contribute to weekly and monthly performance reporting packs and narratives for the IAG Cargo Executive Team
- Analyse and quantify the impact of disruptions, initiatives and improvement projects on KPIs using data-driven insight and scenario analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hold a 2:1 degree or above (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- Relevant experience in data or business analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Proficiency in SQL and BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Right to live and work full-time in the UK indefinitely
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
- Experience in performance analysis, business improvement, project delivery or operational problem-solving is essential
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and operational teams
- Collaborative, proactive and comfortable working hands-on with teams across the business
- Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies experience would be helpful but is not essential
- Knowledge of Python and AI application to data analysis would be helpful but is not essential
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS and Snowflake would be helpful but is not essential
- Background in air cargo or complex operational environments would be helpful but is not essential
