About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of approximately 5 direct reports and operate as part of the Transformation Leadership Team
  • Develop, support, and performance-manage Project Managers and the wider Transformation team
  • Plan and deliver core transformational projects in line with internal control and financial guidelines
  • Define and manage programme-control criteria covering progress, issues, risks, and resources
  • Present accurate programme-delivery views and manage change control tightly
  • Identify and facilitate trade-offs within and outside managed programmes
  • Plan resources and coordinate allocation of common resources and skills
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Challenge project focus to meet targets and initiate additional activities where gaps are identified
  • Provide ad hoc consultancy on IAG Cargo project-management principles, techniques, methods, and tools
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and project workshops
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Embed change into the organisation at all levels
  • Build relationships with accountable business owners and senior managers as a trusted advisor and business partner
  • Lead process-improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven project management/change management experience demonstrated by a successful track record of managing complex change programmes to cost, quality and time
  • Broad experience of working on change projects in a variety of business areas
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced, changeable environment with new technology/products and working practices
  • Solid stakeholder management, including senior management, warehouse staff, and external supplier management
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and other desktop tools
  • People management experience
  • Strong people leadership and ability to motivate cross-functional teams
  • Proven change management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Ability to translate a strategic approach into project deliverables
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex and unique issues
