About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build automation for security processes across vulnerability management, detection engineering, cloud identity management, and SOC2/SOX ITGC compliance
- Learn existing security tooling to identify process efficiencies
- Act as Level 1 alert triage, analyzing security alerts and performing investigations
- Participate in ongoing teach outs designed to build workforce and career skills
- Contribute directly to ongoing Ibotta business initiatives

Requirements
What you’ll need- Juniors working towards a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Risk Management or related field
- Proven ability to think creatively and implement ideas from start to finish
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Hunger to learn and collaborate with teammates
- Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, etc.)
- Interest in technology and innovation associated with a fast-paced industry
- Familiarity with information security principles
- Functional understanding and experience with cloud-based computing solutions (GitHub, AWS)
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, etc.)
- Must live in the United States
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid arrangement in Denver, Colorado, including three days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
- Full-time availability for a 12-week summer 2027 internship
