About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee ICAT Logistics Global and US tax planning and compliance for the company’s legal entities
- Optimize global tax positions and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
- Track US and international tax law developments to identify risks and opportunities
- Lead cross-functional projects involving transfer pricing, global tax structuring, entity rationalization, and M&A
- Develop and implement tax strategies supporting restructuring, business realignment, and transaction readiness
- Provide technical analysis and recommendations on entity structure, capital management, and intercompany transactions
- Collaborate with Treasury and Finance on cross-border cash flow strategies, intercompany settlements, and repatriation activities
- Champion process automation and data analytics for tax efficiency and transparency
- Serve as a tax subject matter expert across the organization
- Own global transfer pricing policy calculation, documentation, and review
- Manage corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Review and approve tax workpapers, supporting schedules, journal entries, accruals, payments, and refunds
- Prepare global income tax provisions under US GAAP, including quarterly and annual calculations
- Oversee international tax compliance, including Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, 163(j), 987, and FTC calculations
- Coordinate foreign tax compliance with external advisors and maintain foreign subsidiary tax documentation
- Lead BEPS compliance, including Country-by-Country Reporting and Pillar II GloBE minimum tax
- Lead quarterly and year-end income tax accounting for non-US operations under IFRS, US GAAP, and local standards
- Serve as primary contact for global tax audits and controversy management
- Direct geographically dispersed finance teams and foster collaboration and accountability
- Manage external tax advisors and vendors
- Support staff goal-setting, coaching, mentoring, training, meetings, metrics, performance appraisals, rewards, disciplinary actions, recruiting, and hiring
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of international tax and US tax experience in a CPA firm or corporate tax department
- 4+ years leading others
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems, such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Great Planes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting rules under US GAAP
- Experience preparing and reviewing income tax provisions
- Experience with global tax compliance issues, including transfer pricing and international tax regulations
- Experience handling vendor and leadership interactions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Direct supervision and accountability of staff
- Ability to recruit and hire staff and conduct performance appraisals
