About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with identifying improvements and optimizing processes through changes to equipment, systems, practices and procedures
- Assist with identifying opportunities, developing and coordinating plant projects to improve process capabilities, safety and competitive position
- Coordinate troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking and plant tests with other technical personnel
- Assist with performing technical and economic evaluations of alternative processes and determine relative costs compared to existing processes
- Assist with monitoring environmental regulations and performance against regulations
- Participate in plant safety activities
- Interact with operators, maintenance, supervision, plant leadership and corporate support personnel
- Provide support and assistance to all areas of the operation
- Potentially own and manage individual projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Completed sophomore year in college
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to set priorities, manage small projects and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to relocate if not local
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
- Temporary visa holders including E, F-1 (including OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN are not eligible for hire
