About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, manage, and optimize in-house network and computer systems to ensure high availability and infrastructure security
Plan and implement policies and procedures for system and network provisioning and maintenance
Build and maintain network infrastructure, including Palo Alto firewall, VPN, Cisco route/switch/phone architecture, Microsoft Windows Server architecture, and associated hardware
Serve as the network engineering interface for systems, business application, and database administrators
Implement desktop and server systems using industry best practices to meet corporate objectives
Manage workstation connectivity, LANs, company websites, intranet, and internet applications
Oversee infrastructure and applications ecosystem optimization and support
Build and support LAN/WAN environments, wireless networks, and Always-On VPN
Perform recurring network and security audits
Provide IT support for special projects, including acquisitions, divestitures, and systems deployments
Act as Tier III escalation for complex issues
Serve as primary network engineer interface for overlapping systems and security administration responsibilities
Collaborate with the team to deliver effective IT services
Support disaster recovery and business continuity programs
Support long-term strategic goals and planning
Ensure system configurations comply with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory or compliance requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Microsoft/Cisco/Palo certifications preferred
6+ years' experience with Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 administration required
4+ years' experience with network/server administration required
Experience with Active Directory and Windows client/server platforms required
Experience with Cisco networking technologies, including security, routing, switching, and voice systems required
Proficiency with the OSI model required
Experience with Tier 1 networking carriers preferred
Must be fluent in English
Proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish is beneficial
Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license
